State Spotlight: Georgia

Georgia is home to 2.1 million jobs in science, technology, engineering, medicine and math-related fields. The state added more than 186,000 STEM jobs between 2017 and 2021—an increase of 9.6%, which is double the national average of 4.7%. STEM positions now represent more than one-third of the state’s labor force.
