Why Science is US?

Why Us 01

Science Leads to Solutions.

The value of science has never been greater than today. Science literacy not only deepens our understanding of the complex challenges we face nationally and globally—it promotes the skills we need to solve them.

Why Us 02

Policy Under Pressure.

In an increasingly polarized United States, science and engineering is often entangled in partisan debates—with acceptance of scientific consensus determined by political affiliation.

Policy decisions that disregard science-based evidence create challenges to effective governance, economic prosperity, global competitiveness, and public health.

Why Us 03

Centering With Science.

Science is US bridges the gap between decision makers and the STEMM community. We advocate for greater use of evidence in public policy, provide tools to evaluate information, and cut through the noise with science-based content on critical issues.

Why Us 04

A Workforce for the Future.

We’re also changing the perception of STEMM professionals—and their impact on the U.S. economy—by conducting research that highlights the wide range of science-related jobs available across all educational backgrounds.

Why Us 05

With these efforts, Science is US aims to create a broad base of support for science, ensuring our nation’s economic growth and technological advancement for years to come.
